Fair Hills Resort Wedding Prices
(Effective for 2007 Weddings)

wedding ceremonyPAVILION RENTAL: $750
This price includes the rental of the pavilion area and main lobby of the resort from 4:00 p.m. of the wedding day until 11:30 p.m. of the wedding day (bands or DJs must be finished by 11:30 p.m.). Dimensions: 34' X 65', 2210 sq. ft. Maximum of 300 people.

OTHER RENTALS:
If you are interested in renting a smaller area and for a smaller amount of time, you may want to consider the following (they all rent for $110 per hour):

The Deck - The deck overlooks the lake and is attached to the main lodge. It is about 2400' square feet (30' x 80').
The Library - The library is the upper level of the main lodge. This is a nice room for a small, casual gathering. The room overlooks the lake and has a large fireplace. It is about 884 square feet (26' x 34').
The Lake Level room - This room is located on the basement level of the main lodge. It looks out into the lake and has 2500 square feet. This room can be split in two by a false wall. This room rents for $225 per hour and if it is split, $110 per hour.

DINNER: $27 and up per person.
You can choose between our bountiful buffet or a sit down dinner. Both are served in the Fair Hills' dining room that is about 5000 square feet and can seat up to 300 people. The Buffet includes salads, vegetable tray, fruit salads, fresh Salmon, pickled herring, cheese and crackers, fresh fruit, homemade rolls and Fair Hills Brown Bread, rice or potatoes, a non-beef choice such as chicken chow mein, a round of beef prepared to your choice, and a beverage. For a sit-down dinner, we offer a choice of one entree from such selections as steak, prime-rib, chicken, pork, walleye, or shrimp. The dinner also includes a mixed green salad, homemade buns and Fair Hills Brown Bread, a vegetable, and a beverage. You can also discuss special requests with our Chef. Dessert will accompany your meal if you do not have a wedding cake.

To help the dinner planning, please have a count to us one week prior to the wedding. We will charge you for that number with the following exception. We will allow for a 10% leeway, as we realize it is difficult to provide an exact number. After the dinner, we will count the number of plates that were used. If that number is greater than the number you provided to us, we would bill you for the additional people. If the actual count is less than the number you provided to us, however, we will bill you for the actual number who ate unless it is less than 90% of the count you provided to us. The following examples assume your count was 200: 1) if 210 plates are actually used, you will be billed for 210; 2) if 190 plates were actually used, you will be billed for 190--10% leeway of 200 = 20, thus the leeway would go down to 180; 3) if 170 plates were actually used, you will be billed for 180--10% leeway of 200 = 20, thus you will be billed for 180.

weddingWEDDING CAKE: $275 and up.
The Fair Hills Bakery makes a classic Wedding Cake that is three-tiered, white on white cake with borders and roping. It serves between 125-150 people and the cost is $275. Additional sheet cakes are $100 each; they each serve an additional 50 people. If you have special requests, you can discuss those with the Bakery Department. The price will vary depending upon your requests.

DECORATING:
You can start decorating the pavilion at 4 p.m. of the wedding day. If other parties are not using it, we will let you in earlier if you so desire. The decorations will have to be taken out the next day (we will clean it up, but any decorations that you want to keep, such as flowers, must be removed by the following day).
If you plan on decorating the Dining Room, you must let us know as soon as possible. We will try our best to accommodate you, but we will not disrupt the routine of our "week-long" guests. Usually, decorating can be done in the afternoon prior to the dinner. All special decorations, for example, flowers, tablecloths, centerpieces, etc., must be removed the day after the wedding. If not, we will charge a storage fee of $50/day. The reason is because, quite simply, the stuff gets in our way, and disrupts our service to our guests. We are not responsible for any of your items (decorations) that may be broken or lost.

We will charge for any extra work incurred by us for your decorating. For example, if you bring in your own tablecloths, china, etc. we will charge you for the time it takes our staff to set that up. Similarly, if you want the actual wedding here, we will charge for the set up and break down for the ceremony. We will keep track of how many people were used and how many hours they worked. We have some beige, blue, and green tablecloths available for no charge.

BARTENDERS: $25/hour.
We will arrange bartenders for you. The bartender time includes set up, serving, and clean up.

SET-UPS AND BEVERAGES:
Beer, wine, and champagne must be purchased through us. We do not allow kegs at the resort. We are in the beer and wine business and need that revenue to be able to have a wedding at the resort. Also available for purchase are tonic water, soda, sour, orange juice or any other mixes needed for a bar. We do not have a license to sell "hard" liquor.

GROOM'S DINNER:
Renting the "Big Pelican" for the Groom's Dinner is a very popular choice. The Big Pelican is a 55' boat that we use for cruises on the lake. The price of the "Big Pelican" is $250 for the first hour and $175/hour thereafter and includes driver and servers. Choice of steak or chicken dinner is $17 per plate. Along with the entree, the dinner includes baked potato, vegetable, salad, homemade bread & buns, dessert, and beverage (lemonade/punch, & coffee). If you want a more casual dinner like burgers, beans and brats, the charge will be $12 per plate. You can also use the boat just for a cocktail cruise. The "Big Pelican" can hold about 40 people for a dinner, and 55 people for a cruise.

You can also hold your Groom's Dinner on the deck, in the dining room, in the library, or in other various meeting rooms.

LODGING:
Lodging is available for wedding parties at certain times of the season. The resort can hold approximately 250 people. If you are interested in lodging, please contact Fair Hills for availability. We offer a special lodging rate for the Wedding weekend. The rate is $60 per person per night plus 15% service charge and 6.5% MN sales tax based upon double occupancy.   All children ages 12 and under are $30 per night.  The rate includes lodging, Sunday brunch, daily maid service, use of the 9-hole "Guest Course", tennis courts, non-motorized boats, etc. To get a better idea of what Fair Hills has to offer, please visit our website at www.fairhillsresort.com. There is a non-refundable $50 per unit deposit on all lodging reservations. Please have your guests call us at 800 323-2849 to make their reservation. If the bride and groom want to stay at the resort the night of the wedding, we provide a free unit for the wedding couple the night of their wedding.

CANCELLATIONS OR POSTPONEMENTS:
Individual lodging reservations require a $50 non-refundable deposit. If people have to cancel, they lose their deposit. To make a reservation for your wedding (dinner, dance, etc.), we require a $1,000.00 deposit. If a cancellation or a postponement should occur, the $1,000.00 is not refundable. The reason is we set aside time for your wedding and give up other chances at having conventions, weddings, and other groups stay with us. If cancellations do arise, that date is gone and we can't make it up.

PAYMENT:
In addition to the $1,000 deposit, we require that 80% of the estimated total bill be paid to Fair Hills prior to the Wedding Day. The 80% down can be done all at once or on an installment plan. Payments can be made either by check or credit card.

Please add 15% service charge and 6.5% MN sales tax to all the above rates.
